Ohio Shared Living services are a unique and very popular service for individuals in need of services, their families and our contract providers.  Individuals in need of supports reside under the same roof as their provider.  These services can be provided by a relative or an unrelated party and include things such as personal care and grooming, supervision, light housekeeping, meeting health care needs, grocery shopping and meal preparation, exploration of the community and help with finances.

Dungarvin is currently certifying potential contractors across the state for this service in order to meet the needs of individuals.

Residential services are provided to an individual living in his or her own home or apartment with or without roommates, depending on the location. These sites serve individuals of various need levels, including individuals with significant medical, physical, or behavioral challenges. Staffing levels vary by the needs of the people being served. The focus of these services is to enhance independence and quality of life. Dungarvin's residential services are very flexible and easily modified to meet changing abilities, interests, choices, and needs of individuals.

Dungarvin Ohio provides residential services and supports through the Individual Options and SELF Waiver. Services and supports emphasize individual choice and are developed by keeping in mind each person’s wants, needs, likes, and dislikes. Services and supports are flexible and can be modified based on the changing needs of the individual. Services and supports could include:

Foster care is a specialized service providing safe, loving homes and intensive support to children or adults with traditional, special and/or complex needs. Supports provided vary depending upon the needs of the individual and family.

Dungarvin Ohio has been providing foster care services in Central Ohio since 1998. We operate a small foster care network to ensure that we are able to offer quality support and services to both the foster parents and the foster children in our network. We currently have 19 foster homes who are providing placement to 35 youth. While we have traditionally specialized in providing safe, loving foster homes for children with special needs and children who are harder to place, we are prepared to, and excited about, introducing more traditional children into our network as well.

In-Home services are developed to provide supports to a child, adolescent or adult living with his or her family or in their own living environment. We serve individuals with a broad range of abilities and needs and our in-home services vary. The person and the family design the level of support and service that is needed.

Dungarvin Ohio provides In-Home services through the Individual Options, Level One, or SELF Waiver and other funding sources. Supports could include:

Our Day Services programs offer a variety of supports for people with Intellectual and Development Disabilities. Depending on the location, services available may include a combination of supports such as community integration, base site programming, employment opportunities, problem-solving and decision-making in everyday living, participating in community events and leisure activities, or assisting people to prepare for vocational, recreational, or other community-based programs.

Dungarvin’s Adult Day Services program provides community opportunities for skill building and volunteer work. This programming is funded through the Level One, I/O or the SELF Waiver. Skill Building Services include:
