On September 23, Dungarvin Connecticut will celebrate the grand opening of its newly expanded Merritt Day Program in Wallingford, an important milestone and success story rooted in vision, teamwork and compassionate service.
Since establishing operations in Connecticut in 2009, Dungarvin has grown its presence across the state, continuing to develop new programs that serve individuals according to Dungarvin’s mission: “respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports.” The Merritt Day Program reflects that mission and Dungarvin Connecticut’s commitment to helping people lead rich, meaningful lives.
Through thoughtful planning and collaboration, the team has created a welcoming environment where individuals can choose from a variety of beneficial activities, build relationships and feel a strong sense of belonging. A larger space and better infrastructure allows the program to offer more choices to participants.
Dungarvin Connecticut’s Day Program team has worked diligently to create enriching experiences for participants. The vision, persistence and care of Program Director Olivia Orama and Program Manager Ty’Naja Williams guided the project and ensured its success.
