Dungarvin support staff in Tacoma, Washington recently held a Glow Party for individuals served in the Habilitative Skill Building (HSB) and Complex Needs Program. The team called the party “Glow With Us.” They transformed the Tacoma office, using multiple rooms to accommodate varying sensory needs and preferences — ensuring an inclusive and comfortable experience for everyone. Guests enjoyed a taco bar and cupcakes, and the dance floor was full of energy with some truly impressive moves.

The Glow Party was one of the Tacoma team’s quarterly events for individuals served through the HSB and Complex Needs Program, creating meaningful opportunities for connection, engagement and fun. Past events have included renting out a movie theater, hosting a carnival at a petting zoo, lakeside barbecues, a winter formal dance, a talent show and trips to a trampoline park.

“Providing these unique experiences has enriched the lives of both the people we support and our staff,” said Dungarvin Washington Senior Director Kendra Ellis. “Through these events, we’ve seen natural friendships develop and grow, and watched individuals thrive in group settings — opportunities that would not be possible without the dedication and collaboration of our clinical leadership, the clinical team and Direct Support Professionals.

The Tacoma team is already looking ahead to its Quarter 2 event, planning something exciting for their individuals served.
