Dena Pulliam-Franklin, Dungarvin Wisconsin Program Director, recently gathered with her colleagues to celebrate her 20-year Milestone Anniversary with the organization. They met for dinner at Prime Quarter Steak House in Janesville, Wisconsin, to honor Dena, have a delicious dinner and enjoy camaraderie.
Dena is a dedicated, positive force on the Wisconsin team, said Area Director Matt Makela. “For two decades, Dena has fulfilled several different roles with Dungarvin, and her dedication to the mission — to respect and respond to the choices of people in need of supports — is the reason she’s been able to provide this many years of service.”
“She’s made many personal sacrifices of her time to ensure that the home she supports is adequately staffed, including providing direct care herself,” Matt added. “Her job is not always easy, but you can count on her to have a warm and bright smile on her face and handle any challenges she faces without complaint.”

Dena said her job is fulfilling because she’s able to make a positive difference in people’s lives. “I find purpose in knowing the work I do each and every day can make a meaningful impact, whether it’s through providing support, advocating for someone’s needs, helping solve challenges, or simply being there when someone needs assistance,” she said. “Working in this field allows me to help individuals feel respected, valued, safe and supported, while encouraging them to reach their personal goals and live as independently as possible.”
Dungarvin congratulates Dena on this wonderful Milestone! We are lucky to have her on the team.
