Kelly Sabel joined Dungarvin Minnesota 10 years ago, helping to shape the operation’s Acute Behavioral Services (ABS), which support individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live safe, meaningful lives in their communities. As the ABS Director marks a Milestone Anniversary with Dungarvin this year, she reflected on a fulfilling career.

“One of the most rewarding aspects has been witnessing the successes of the people we support, who may not have otherwise been given the chance to succeed,” Kelly said. “Being able to help create opportunities, see potential recognized and watch individuals achieve things others may have thought impossible has made this work incredibly meaningful,” Kelly said, adding that she’s grateful for the team leaders with whom she works.

“Their dedication, support and commitment to our persons served and our staff members is what makes our work possible. Ultimately, it is the individuals whose lives we impact and the incredible people I get to work with that have made my time at Dungarvin so meaningful, as well as something I am proud to be a part of.”

Heather Golden, Director of Minnesota ABS, said Kelly is incredibly dedicated to her job and Dungarvin’s mission of “respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports.”

“She has developed such strong relationships with the individuals she’s supported over the years, continuing to watch them succeed, even after they have moved on to their next adventures. Kelly is always willing to lend a helping hand to her peers and to take on a new challenge,” Heather said.

Kelly, Dungarvin is proud you are part of the family. Congratulations on your Milestone Anniversary!
