Compass Career Solutions leaders recently attended the Clark County Celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month to join in honoring the contributions people with disabilities make to the workforce and their communities. Compass, a Dungarvin company, provides Supported Employment Services in Clark County and in many other Washington locations. Dungarvin also provides a range of disability services in the state.

“It was a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements of individuals with disabilities, recognizing employers who champion inclusive workplaces and connecting with community partners who share our commitment to meaningful employment opportunities for all,” said Compass Senior Director Brandy Gerdes-Schutz, who attended the celebration, along with Compass Area Manager Tara Harkness.

The annual event included awards for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) who have “helped achieve a dynamic, productive workforce” in their places of work, according to Clark County. The awards also recognize those in the business community who demonstrate leadership in employing people with I/DD.
