As DSP Appreciation Week approaches, Dungarvin is gearing up to honor its Direct Support Professionals with not just one week, but two weeks of celebratory plans. DSPs are the heart and soul of Dungarvin’s operations in 17 states around the country. They are the boots on the ground, the highly skilled caregivers who carry out Dungarvin’s mission of “respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports” with dedication and compassion.
This Saturday launches a week of daily social media posts to recognize all of Dungarvin’s ANCOR DSP of the Year winners and nominees. Look for these Sept. 5 –12 on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, each featuring multiple team members.
Dungarvin is extremely proud of its ANCOR (American Network of Community Options & Resources) honorees, and appreciates all of its thousands of Direct Support Professionals around the country. Therefore, the organization also plans to share videos of Dungarvin colleagues thanking DSPs for the work they do every day to ensure people with disabilities are well cared for and able to participate in their communities. During Dungarvin’s annual Spirit Week, Sept. 14–18, team members and persons served have a great time dressing up for each day’s theme. Among the opportunities to get involved are “Wacky Socks Wednesday” and “Tip Your Hat Thursday.” Photos of everyone showing their “Spirit” will be shared on Dungarvin’s social media pages.
