The Dungarvin Minnesota team gathered this week to honor Residential Program Coordinator Mabel Massaquoi and Mental Health Specialist Sonja Pirmantgen, who were selected as finalists in the ARRM Cares 2026 Awards.
The annual awards, conducted by the nonprofit Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota (ARRM), recognize professionals who demonstrate a commitment to providing quality services to people living with disabilities.
Mabel was one of 10 ARRM Cares Award finalists and Sonja was one of four Rising Star Award finalists, the latter of whom are professionals with less than three years of experience in the field. ARRM officially recognized all of its finalists during its annual conference in July at Mystic Lake Center in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
During the gathering at the Dungarvin Minnesota Central Office, Mabel and Sonja received certificates and gifts, and each spoke about what the recognition meant to them. Minnesota Senior Director Karen Hammond spoke about the important work the two women, as well as all Direct Support Professionals, do every day. Several Dungarvin leaders attended, including Founders Diane and Tim Madden.
