Dungarvin Colorado Director Bruce Mayberry speaks during the picnic.
Dungarvin Colorado staff members, Host Home Services providers, persons served and family members recently gathered at John Venzia Park in Colorado Springs for a picnic to show appreciation for all.
The event included a catered barbecue lunch, face painting, caricature portraits and balloon art. Dungarvin’s Vice President of Operations Robert Bachicha, West Regional Director Bill Myers and Colorado State Director Dee Hiatt attended.
Honored during the picnic were five Colorado Springs staff members celebrating Milestone Anniversaries with the organization:
- Dave Merz, 25 years
- Tandi Schips, 15 years
- Sydney Serrick, 10 years
- Cindy Ward, 10 years
- Blake West, 10 years

Dee said the picnic this year was extra special because Dungarvin is celebrating its 50th Anniversary, while the Colorado operation is celebrating its 35th Anniversary.
“It was such a great event, with good people, delicious food and lots of fun in beautiful surroundings. It’s a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon. I am deeply grateful to the people who have chosen us to support them, and I continue to be amazed at the dedication and passion our employees and providers bring every day,” she said.
We’re glad our Colorado Springs team, providers, persons served and families had a great time at the picnic! And congratulations to all celebrating Milestone Anniversaries!
