Today we celebrated our colleague Chelsea Foster’s 15-year Milestone Anniversary with Dungarvin Oregon.
Since Chelsea started with us in 2011, she has worn many hats, serving as a Direct Support Professional, Office Manager, Program Quality Coordinator and now our Billing and Benefits Coordinator. Throughout each of those roles, one thing has always remained the same: her commitment to advocating for the individuals we support.
Chelsea does so much behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly within the Oregon operation, often fixing issues before anyone else even knows they’re there. She always takes the unique needs of each individual we serve into consideration and works hard to make sure they receive the support they deserve. Her knowledge, problem solving skills and willingness to help have made her an incredible resource for teams across Oregon.
Chelsea said that the opportunity to grow professionally and make a difference in the lives of the people Dungarvin Oregon supports have been the most meaningful aspects of her Dungarvin career.
“I began with the organization as a DSP, and those years gave me countless meaningful experiences, from celebrating everyday moments with our individuals served — like dance parties and late-night games — to advocating for them during some of their most difficult times, like hospital stays when they had no family by their side. Those experiences shaped my commitment to person-centered care,” Chelsea said.
“Dungarvin has allowed me to build a career with purpose, and it has been incredibly rewarding to grow alongside the organization while continuing to support its mission,” she added.
Chelsea’s dedication and the impact she’s made over the years haven’t gone unnoticed. Thank you, Chelsea, for everything you do for our individuals, our team and Dungarvin. Congratulations on this amazing milestone — we’re lucky to have you on our team!
