Staff and leaders at Dungarvin Minnesota recently gathered to celebrate Program Manager Bea Morehouse’s 25-year Milestone Anniversary with the organization. Bea was commended by her supervisor and colleagues during the party at the Minnesota Central Office.
Before moving into her current position at Dungarvin, Bea was a Residential Program Coordinator (RPC) and then Float RPC, which required significant flexibility in schedules and tasks, said her supervisor Jolie Bentjen, Dungarvin Minnesota Operational Director.
“This would be a challenging role for many people, but Bea excelled. She brought her person-centered approach to every site she visited. Part of her role as Float RPC was training other RPC’s. Bea’s immense knowledge and experience made her a fantastic mentor.”
Today, as a Program Manager, Bea continues to shine. “She is the calm during the chaos,” Jolie said. “She shows up and pitches in with a positive attitude, no matter what time of day. She is there for her staff and persons served, and I know she will continue to grow and succeed in this role and anything else that comes her way.”

Jolie also talked about Bea’s annual meal delivery initiative on Thanksgiving and Christmas to ensure residents have special holiday dinners. This effort includes tailoring the meals to individuals’ food preferences and needs. “If you’re wondering how many sites Bea delivers to, it’s a lot! The meals fill up her entire SUV, and she spends the entire day delivering them.”
When asked what has made her Dungarvin career meaningful, Bea answered that it’s helping people with all aspects of their lives.
“Some of my most memorable or special memories of the last 25 years have been simple daily things,” she said, reflecting on 25 years of service. “Sitting beside someone as they leave this earth has been an extreme honor to me. I know their names, their stories and I’ve strived to help them know they matter in this world. They are why we are here! Without them none of us would be here at Dungarvin. They matter! Every smile, every hug, every high five, every triumph. My life is so much fuller with our people in it!”
Dungarvin congratulates Bea on this significant Milestone Anniversary! We are all so proud of her and the way she lives out Dungarvin’s mission of “respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports.”
