Before joining ACI-Dungarvin in North Carolina, Suzanne Craig worked at Equifax in Fort Worth, Texas, verifying employment for home mortgages. What do you like most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the people I work with. ACI-Dungarvin feels like family.
What characteristic – or adjective – would people use to describe you?
I am usually shy at first until people get to know me. I think others would describe me as dependable, hardworking, kind and compassionate.
How did the place where you grew up shape who you are today?
Growing up, my dad was in the Army, so we moved around often until I was 13. That is probably one reason I enjoy traveling and why I later married a Marine. When my dad retired, we moved to my parents’ hometown of Danville, Illinois. We lived in a very poor neighborhood, and that experience taught me to be thankful for what I have. It also motivated me to work hard so I could provide a better life for my family and children.

What do you most value about the Dungarvin team with whom you work?
What I value most is how deeply everyone cares for the people we serve and how hard they work to provide the best care possible. I love seeing that passion in action. It makes me feel like I am part of something truly meaningful.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement is earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. It was very challenging because I was working full time while caring for my two children and my husband. I pushed through, and I am very proud and thankful that I was able to accomplish it. Another one of my greatest achievements is raising my two wonderful children.
