Kayla Rheingans joined Dungarvin in 2020 on the very day companies across the nation began sending employees home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “That made for a unique transition to remote work,” she said. Kayla started as a Budget Analyst and later moved into her current position as a Regional Financial Analyst supporting Dungarvin’s West and Northwest regions. Before Dungarvin, Kayla spent three years as a Senior Budget Analyst for a mortgage banking and financial services firm in Tempe, Arizona.

What do you like most about your job?

I like the variety this role offers; no two days are the same. I also enjoy figuring things out, solving problems and finding new and efficient ways to accomplish tasks. Additionally, the culture and people I work with here at Dungarvin make each day enjoyable.

What do you like to do for fun?

I am happiest when I’m outside! My absolute favorite way to spend a weekend is lacing up my hiking boots, exploring new biking trails or taking a trip to a place where I can completely immerse myself in nature. There is just something so refreshing about seeing new places.

How did the place where you grew up shape who you are today?

I was raised in a close-knit rural community of about 2,000 people. Growing up in a small town taught me to deeply value relationships, hard work and to find joy in the little things. We had to be creative to have fun, and I am grateful for where I grew up (but I wouldn’t’ be able to live there now).

Who are your heroes in life and why?

I am inspired by my niece and nephews. They are curious, hardworking considerate and outspoken. Watching their minds expand over the years has been a privilege, and without even knowing it, they have an impact on my life.
