March 9, 2026 | Edie Grossfield, Digital Content Specialist

Early in her career, Angie Prokash worked for a funeral home, where she learned compassion, organization and how to support families during some of their most difficult moments. She stepped away from full-time work to raise her family, and once her children began school, she joined Dungarvin New Mexico as a part-time secretary. Later, she transitioned to a Health Services role for several years and, eventually, moved into her current position as Office Manager. “Dungarvin has truly allowed me to grow both personally and professionally,” she said.

What do you love most about your job?

What I enjoy most are the individuals we serve. Knowing that the work we do directly impacts their lives in a positive way makes everything worthwhile. I also deeply value the relationships I’ve built with my co-workers; we genuinely support one another.

What attributes do you most value in a co-worker?

I value teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude. I appreciate co-workers who show up, and who are willing to step in wherever needed to help the team succeed.

What do you like to do for fun?

Spending time with my kids, going to concerts, working on DIY and epoxy craft projects, and playing with my dogs. Creating things and making memories with my family are some of my favorite ways to recharge.

Who are your heroes in life and why?

My grandmother was my greatest hero. I recently lost her around Thanksgiving, and her absence is deeply felt. She was the most genuine and kind-hearted person I have ever known. She gave everyone the benefit of the doubt, never judged others and loved people unconditionally. The way she loved and accepted me for who I am shaped the person I strive to be every day.
