Individualized Home Support Services in Minnesota
Flexible in-home and community supports and training
Individualized Home Support Services (IHS) in Minnesota offer flexible options to help children and adults build skills and maintain independence at home and in the community.
IHS without training is available when a person needs support in at least one community living service category, while IHS with training is available to adults who need both support and training in those areas. IHS with family training is designed for people who live with their families, providing training to the person and family members so they can better support the person at home.
IHS services are available to people on the BI, CAC, DD and CADI waivers. These services can meet the habilitation requirement for the DD Waiver and are tailored to the person’s goals, abilities and routines, supporting stability, skill-building and long-term success in the family home or other community settings.
