ACI-Dungarvin staff, persons served and family members gathered last week in Cary, North Carolina, to celebrate many important anniversaries — Dungarvin’s 50th, and ACI-Dungarvin’s 10 years as part of the organization and its mission of “respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports.”

About 85 people attended the luncheon at the Hilton Garden Inn, including 23 employees celebrating their Milestone anniversaries (10 years and every five additional years) with the organization, from before and after Dungarvin acquired ACI in 2016.

Not all employees with Milestone anniversaries this year were able to attend the event. In total, there are 12 celebrating 10 years; 11 with 15 years; and seven with 20 years — a testament to the longevity of Dungarvin’s employees in North Carolina and around the country.

Also there were Dungarvin founders Diane and Tim Madden, who launched the company with a single property in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1976. Today, Dungarvin, based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, serves more than 16,000 people in 17 states. Both Diane and Tim gave speeches, reflecting upon Dungarvin’s acquisition of ACI and describing a perfect match between the two organizations in vision, services and employees.

In attendance were, from left, Tim and Diane Madden, Rita Barnes and Lori Kress.

In addition, Dungarvin CEO Lori Kress, Executive Regional Director Patrick Brendle and ACI-Dungarvin Director Rita Barnes all took turns expressing their appreciation for the North Carolina team.

“Our greatest achievement is not measured simply by years of service, but by the lives we’ve touched and the meaningful relationships we’ve built in North Carolina’s communities,” Rita said. “Every success story, every achievement and every family support represents the impact of our hard work and commitment.”

All of Dungarvin sends a big “Congratulations!” to our North Carolina team.
