5 Questions With Sheri Butler, Dungarvin Regional HR Director

Learn what she values most about her Dungarvin team

This year, Sheri Butler will celebrate two decades with Dungarvin. Before joining the company, she worked as a recreation therapy coordinator for at-risk youth living in a residential treatment facility. Sheri began as a Program Director for Dungarvin, and after a year and a half transitioned to the position of Human Resources Specialist. She has advanced from there, to HR Manager, HR Director, HR Special Projects Director and, currently, she is a Regional HR Director.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy being responsible for leading and developing employees as well as ensuring accountability for all employees.

What attributes do you most value in a co-worker?

I value co-workers who are dependable and ethical. I also value integrity and follow-through on deliverables, as well as co-workers who communicate directly rather than passively.

What do you like to do for fun?

Our family enjoys amusement parks and riding roller coasters.

What do you most value about the Dungarvin team with whom you work?

The relationships I have with multiple team members in a variety of departments are priceless. I’ve been fortunate to support multiple Dungarvin state operations throughout my time here, and I’ve established great relationships that make continuing to work here invaluable.

If you weren’t working for Dungarvin, what would be your dream job?

I’d want to own a frozen yogurt shop.
