Supervised Group Living (SGL) in Indiana
24-hour supervised group homes, including Extensive Support Needs
Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) provide 24-hour residential support for individuals who need a structured living environment with close staff supervision. SGL homes, licensed by the Indiana Department of Health, offer predictable routines, opportunities for social skill development, and assistance with medical, behavioral, and daily living needs.
Some homes are designed specifically for individuals with Extensive Support Needs, providing enhanced staffing, specialized training, and increased supervision. In these settings, services focus on safety, stability, adaptive skill-building, and behavior support, helping people work toward greater independence and, when possible, transition to less restrictive residential options over time.
