Dungarvin founders, Tim and Diane Madden, coworkers, family and friends all gathered at Luci Ancora in St. Paul, MN to celebrate, share stories and honor Dave’s time with the organization. A video was played during the dinner that shared messages from Dungarvin staff about personal memories and how he impacted their careers.

CEO Lori Kress described Dave as, “a true legacy, making sure we were prepared for what came our way, providing direction, coaching us along the way, and always looking out for opportunities for growth, expansion and improvement.” For 43 years, Dave was a trailblazing member of our staff, helping both colleagues and Dungarvan grow. His contributions will forever be appreciated, and he will be missed!

Indiana’s Family and Social Services Agency (FSSA) utilized American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to help providers such as Dungarvin pay their Direct Service (DSP) Workforce in Supported Living programs. Dungarvin’s ICF or ESN Group Home programs were not included. Dungarvin Indiana spent 95% of the grant towards increased DSP wages in multiple areas across the state and used other funds for overtime and to account for overages we paid over the past two years when needing to pass through funds to DSPs. Dungarvin Indiana is on track to fulfill the Direct Service Workforce grant requirements.

Dungarvin is excited to announce that three staff members have been named finalists for the 2023 Rising Star and ARRM Cares Awards, respectively.

Nena Johnson has been recognized as a Rising Star Award nominee, demonstrating outstanding work in the disability services field with only three years of experience or less. Each year, Rising Star nominees, finalists, and winners from across the state exemplify the highest level of care and support from the industry’s newest team members.

Diane Mailand and Beatrice Morehouse have been named ARRM Cares Award nominees. This honor recognizes the top Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Minnesota. Nominees are selected by their organizations for their outstanding performance, commitment, and leadership as a DSP.

Please join us in congratulating these exemplary professionals for their excellence and dedication to their profession and to supporting people with disabilities. Winners will be announced in September.
