"In 2001, I began my search for an agency to provide services for my son who has Down’s Syndrome.  At that time, my son was very shy, had no self confidence and required support in all of his daily tasks.  Today, after six years with Dungarvin, Jason has developed into a very independent, outgoing, and extremely well-functioning young man.  I truly believe it was due to the consistent long-term staff, quality of care and extreme professionalism that allowed my son to become this man.  Their commitment to my son has exceeded my expectations."   Patricia Niemela, parent of individual with Down's Syndrome, Ohio  <read more>

"November of 2003, Wylene was placed in a residence home with two other ladies.  Dungarvin's staff encourages families to come and visit their relatives any time.  They tell you up front that this is the three ladies' home and we, as family, are welcome any time.  Wylene, for the first time, has her own room with her own furniture, her things and her own space.  The staff also makes sure these ladies get out into the community.  They are taken to restaurants, hair appointments and shopping if they like.  This past year, Wylene has taken dancing lessons, been roller skating and gone on vacation.  I guess the thing I like best about the staff members is they don't look at Wylene and say, 'she can't do that'; they look and say, 'why can't she do that if she wants to?'.  And one way or another, they make it happen for her."  Rita Reina, sister of individual with disabilities, Alabama <read more>

"I am thankful that for the first time since I have had to place Tiffany outside of my home for additional care, I lay down at night with a sense of peace knowing that she is being well taken care of.  I now have some of the same feelings of most parents when their adult children are away at school or have just moved out on their own.  Thank you, Dungarvin, for caring so much."  Deborah Smith, parent of individual with disabilities, Alabama  <read more>

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dungarvin Alabama for their patience, devotion and kindness during the care for our departed sister. One of the final things that Christine said to us before her demise was, "Everything is going to be okay. I love everybody here and everybody here loves me".  Marvin & Allene Day, siblings of individual with disabilities, Alabama  <read more>

"After being in institutions most of her life, I have never seen my sister being so loved and so well taken care of as she is under your care.  She is in a beautiful home environment and is integrated into society.  For the first time in her life she says:  'All my dreams have come true.  I have heaven on earth.' "   Beverly Stubbs, sister of individual with disabilities, Wisconsin.  <read more>

"Today, in your adult family home, Jim is happier than he’s been in years.  Your staff is great!  I can’t say enough positive things about them.  He’s still not heavily medicated and when Jim has “issues”, they work through them with kindness and just the right amount of firmness.  He eats well, has fun and enjoys the visitors that stop by.  Thanks for all your help!"  Jon Weeden, brother of individual with disabilities, Wisconsin.  <read more>

"Heather and Craig have been able to come in to these chaotic cases and completely turn things around.  We have gotten farther now with our clients than we ever have before, and I truly believe it is because of Heather and Craig.  I truly feel that they both need to be recognized for the effort that they have put into their jobs since beginning with these individuals.  I know how difficult it is to come upon a case that needs reorganization and follow up, and Heather and Craig have really stepped up to the plate and accomplished a lot."  Kim Blomsterberg, Resource Coordinator, Colorado  <read more>

"Having Dungarvin as the Fiscal Intermediary and Employer of Record has been great. The staff at Dungarvin always return my phone calls, and they are helpful and very knowledgeable about how the consumer-directed option works and how to get the best services for Shane and Brandon. Having this peace of mind has made a huge difference in our lives."   Myrna Zephier, parent of brothers with disabilities, Minnesota.  <read more>

"We are extremely grateful for the assistance of the waiver and we are especially happy with the Consumer-Directed option [in Minnesota]. The folks at Dungarvin have been a real blessing...The benefit of having a provider like Dungarvin at our side has been this team of individuals determined to find the right services for our daughter. Where there seemed to be barriers to success, Dungarvin staff and our case manager helped us to think outside the box to find creative ways to help Chrissy."   Greg Fredrickson, parent of child with schizencephaly, Minnesota.  <read more>
